Features of IMO I3AX/BX
The IMO I3AX/BX is an all -in-one industrial control device. It combines control, user interface, I/O and networking into a single, integrated package. Unique features of the I3AX/I3BX include:
• Bright, graphical LCD display (in i3AX) (with touch sensing in i3BX)
• Display of complex graphical objects including trends, gauges, meters and animations
• Advanced control capabilities including floating point, multiple auto-tuning PID loops and stringhandling capabilities
• Removable media for up to two TB of storage of programs, data logging or screen captures
• iCAN networking port for communication with remote I/O, other controllers or PCs.
• Ethernet port for communication with other controllers, drives, pc’s etc.
• Configurable serial protocols for communication to drives, PLCs, or other serial peripherals
• USB 2.0 Full speed port for programming and monitoring.
• Full featured, built-in I/O including high resolution analog, thermocouple, RTD, high speed counters,PWM outputs andrelays (depending upon the I3AX/I3BX model used)
• I3 Configurator programming software that allows all aspects of the I3AX/I3BX to be programmed and configured from one integrated application
• Optional communication add-on modules that allow additional capabilities such as modems.
• Fail–Safe System which allows an application to continue running in the event of “Soft” failures
such as (Battery power loss or Battery Backed register RAM / Application Flash corruption)
• Clone Unit allows the user to “clone” the i3 controller of the exact same model. This feature “clones” application program
and unit settings stored in Battery backed RAM of an i3 controller. It can then be used to clone a different i3 controller (exact same model)

Flexible I/O Configuration
The i3AX/i3BX is engineered with up to five unique built-in I/O configurations all of which include high speed counting capabilities – a truly advantageous feature for such a small package! If the built-in I/O of the i3 isn’t enough for your specific application, you can easily expand via CAN or Ethernet or serial. With thousands of external I/O combinations through several additional networking media, the wide scope of digital and analogue I/O make automating your applications, and your organization, as simple as the push of a button
Extensive Control & HMI Features
Many of the features found in more high-end controllers are available in our i3 controller. The i3 utilizes a sunlight readable backlit touchscreen (good for dark and sunlight), physical keys for buttons, and a strong graphical user interface which deeply integrates the HMI into the control system.
